Kenneth Brinsko, M.D.

Dr. Kenneth Brinsko joined the VA Medical Center staff in January 2010 after a career in the U. S. Navy. A seasoned comprehensive ophthalmologist, he has taught ophthalmology residents and staff from the University of Florida as well as basic ophthalmology to Navy Family Practice residents.

Margaret Green, M.D.

Dr. Margaret Green practiced in Augusta for many years doing comprehensive ophthalmology with a special emphasis on pediatric strabismus. While in practice she would was involved with MCG resident research projects. In the summer of 2008 she joined the downtown VA Department of Ophthalmology as a full time medical ophthalmologist.

Dan Killingsworth, M.D.

Dr. Killingsworth has interests in all anterior segment surgeries including cataract, glaucoma and corneal surgeries. He enjoys teaching residents and sharing his experience of private practice with them. Dr. Killingsworth serves as the VA attending for most glaucoma surgical procedures and as well staffs many cataract, oculoplastics and corneal cases. He also serves as clinic attending for most of the VA minor procedures and YAG lasers.

He has previous teaching experience as an instructor at both the University of Florida and the University of Alabama. Dr Killingsworth graduated from medical school in 1984 where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha and was a member of the Tinsley Harrison Research Society.

Since finishing his training, he has had the opportunity to practice ophthalmology in academic, HMO, private practice and now Veteran Administration settings.

Amie Squires, M.D.

Dr. Amie Squires is an ophthalmologist who makes her primary practice the VA medical center. She is there part time staffing clinics and the operating room. Operating with senior residents she teaches cataract procedures with a clear cornea, vertical chopping technique. She has been teaching ophthalmology since 2004.
